how do i get there?
The festival is held at The Retreat Animal Rescue, TN26 3LJ in Ashford, Kent. If you are arriving by car, please do not enter the main Sanctuary car park but follow the signs and volunteers to the next gate down. If you are arriving by train, we have a Shuttle Service available. You can check the timetable here. There will also be a Lift Share group chat for you to arrange lifts.
what time can i arrive?
Please arrive from 12pm on the Friday. Any cars MUST remain off the festival site and in the car park for the duration of the festival, including setting up and packing down your camp. We ask that everyone is off site by 12pm on the Monday.
can i see the animals?
Absolutely! The festival is held on an animal sanctuary and you are very welcome to visit between 9am-6pm! There is a thrift shop, Jennings Plantry supermarket and the Be Kind Cafe which are open 12pm-4pm. However, please do NOT feed the animals as they are on very strict diets or go into any of their enclosures.
IS IT DOG FRIENDLY?
Yes! Please bring your pooches to Sanctuary Campfest, we'd love to meet them! Just make sure they are kept on a lead at all times and you are responsible for cleaning up their mess. Assistance dogs are, of course, more than welcome!
what do i need to bring?
Please try to bring: drinking water, reusable cups & plates, bin bags and camping equipment. Sanctuary CampFest is not responsible for any lost or damaged items but will have a Lost Property area on site. Do not bring any glass, illegal substances or anything non-vegan on site. Sanctuary Campfest has a right to confiscate any prohibited items.

All ages are welcome at Sanctuary Campfest, but all festival goers under 16 must be accompanies by an adult. You can buy child tickets here.
what's included in my ticket?
You can join in all activities, talks and workshops with your ticket! Your ticket also gives you access to The Retreat Animal Rescue! There are separate tickets for camping and camper vans. You can find the timetable for the weekend here.
is the site accessible?
Sanctuary CampFest is held on a cow field so it is uneven. There is a disabled toilet and volunteers on site to help with tent assembly etc. Please contact us if you have extra requirements and we shall try our hardest to put things in place.
can i smoke?
There is a designated smoking area away from the main festival site and camping area. Please ensure you are only smoking in this area, fully stub out cigarettes and put butts in the sand buckets provided. Cigarettes are toxic to animals and cows will be on the field the day after the festival finishes.
